Auditing changes to ISO standards

When you make any changes to ISO standards, you need to do different types of audits - internal and independent.

Internal audits are conducted to independently test changes to processes or systems. Internal audits should take place at the company at least once a year. They include tracking strengths, weaknesses, inconsistencies in the quality management system, and other things, i.e. general indicators as required by the standard. This will show any weaknesses that may need to be corrected.

You will also need an independent auditing body to audit your business against the new standards. When you are looking for an auditing body, it is important to make sure they are reputable. Look at their certifications (for example, check to see if they are accredited by the Federal Accreditation Service), as well as reviews from clients of these companies.

It's important that you have enough time for an independent audit before it expires. By giving yourself at least two to three months before the deadline, you will have time to make any necessary changes that the audit may reveal. That way, if the audit finds a serious discrepancy, you'll have time to correct the problem.

Obtaining ongoing ISO accreditation with the help of SMK STANDART experts will simplify your processes, improve efficiency, increase customer confidence and recognition, provide access to larger markets and opportunities, and create a stronger work culture.
