Peculiarities of certification of imported products

It is no secret that most of the goods imported to Russia today originate from China, neighboring countries, and Asian countries. The imported products are subject to compulsorily certification according to the requirements of the country they are shipped to. SMK STANDARD provides services for issuing certificates for foreign goods in accordance with the national system GOST R, as well as according to the requirements of the Customs Union.
Prior to the release of foreign products into circulations on the territory of the Russian Federation or in the countries of the Customs Union, it is necessary to obtain permits – in particular, to obtain a certificate of conformity. SMK STANDARD accompanies the entry of foreign companies to the Russian market with the development of the necessary documentation.
In some cases, it is required to register a declaration of conformity instead of the certificate. The following groups of goods can be released into the customs territory of Russia without presenting any certificates of conformity and the evidence of recognition of certificates, i.e. bypassing the procedure of compulsory certification of imported products:
1. Used goods.
2. Spare parts for previously imported products (subject to the submission of copies of certificates of conformity on previously imported products and the Obligation to use spare parts only for completing the above finished products or for their maintenance and repair).
3. Samples of certified products (imported solely for the purpose of certification).
4. Goods not intended for commercial purposes, which are imported into the territory of the Russian Federation by individuals.
5. Goods that will be used exclusively for the needs of employees of foreign embassies and missions.
In other cases, the certification of imported products is required.
